I wanted to take a moment to tell you who is the best company around to buy a computer from. The answer is: No one. I could make some recommendations but when it all comes down to it, you’ll find that companies cannot remain competitive selling desktop computers. Instead they end up marking up their products above and beyond that of just purchasing the raw parts and building the machine yourself. You can get a much better computer by purchasing the raw parts or if you are not comfortable with the idea of building the computer yourself: hire a teenager and pay them $50 to build it for you. They’ll be happy and you should be able to get a better price than purchasing from a company.

Don’t forget to use your LCG to help you in picking out the parts. He/she might be able to recommend and build for you a higher quality computer than what you would be able to get from a major brand manufacturer.
