I have been wanting to include the word “redux” in a title for quite some time now. I am not sure why, but it just seems to make my blog truly a blog. What does redux mean? It means to revisit a topic. So “backups redux” means that we are going to take a retrospective look at backups.
Backups are just as important as medical insurance
Yes they are a pain, yes they can be expensive, and yes often doing backups involves a lot of fighting with your computer. But lets face it, like medical insurance, when your computer explodes in your face it is a very good thing that you have it! Or else your computer could be lost, along with all of your precious data.
I have personally worked with three different situations in which backups would have been beneficial in the last week alone! The need is really there, now! You need to go out there and proactively work to backup your data. Here are the posts I previously wrote on data backups which you might wish to review.
These three posts outline just how important backups really are. I am reposting them because of just how dreadfully needed they are! You need to read them and you need to execute what they tell you to do!
Please backup your computers!! You won’t regret it!
God Bless,
