The Sweet New Theme

So today is the first day that TechMindset FINALLY has its own theme! I am so excited about it I am about to cry.

James from Vantage Street designed this theme from scratch. And boy does it look nice. I am going to be spending the next couple of hours organizing the content on this site into the icons above at the top of this post. I encourage you to take a look around and report anything that might be out of whack.

This is a very stylish design and thanks to James I didn’t have to worry about doing it myself. Praise God for him =).

Something that I have found is that even if you offer a service (like website design) then you should rarely do it for yourself because your best work is often for someone else, not for yourself. Instead get someone else to do the web design for you and get them some credit while you work to do your own web design for someone else.

James and his company are very good web designers with a focus on Web Standards design. The idea of their business is that if you program a website to go with the standards you will encourage browser compatibility and forward compatibility. AKA your website won’t break in six months time because browsers decide to stop supporting the weird code you threw into the design. It is a very good thing to have your website to standards and this can only be done by hand coding the site instead of using some kind of software like Dreamweaver or Frontpage.

So I hope you guys enjoy the new theme! I certainly am!

God Bless,
-Daniel Kolansky

  1. Dan,

    Thanks for the mention.

fyi: Have you activated it yet, as I only see the default WP theme. Can’t wait to see it live.
