Hey Guys,
I got a great video here done by a blogger you all know and love!
Yes, it is I, the great video blogger, Dan Kolansky! Ok, I’ll stop being conceited now, it is just so darn cool making your own videos.
Here is the video. It gives a quick introduction to the mindmapping software: Freemind.

Thanks.
Nice and simple.
Good job.
The other one I tried to view on a teachers website was so quite I could not understand the person.
Thanks for making the tutorial. I was feeling a little bit confused by the oh-so-technical descriptions on the wiki and the other advice out there. Your video gave me the basics I needed to get me started.
Thanks great job.
Hi Daniel – I am very grateful that I found your first video tutorial on mind mapping with FreeMind. Thank you :)
I could not hear exactly (and crucially!) what you are saying about how to move children over from one side to another! I hear you say Ctrl, and arrows but I also hear you say Enter and I have tried all combinations of these words and only succeeded in moving from one MM to another and not the new children to the place I really want them.
Please could you help a little to just let me know exactly the sequence of steps to place them where I want them?
Thank you for your thoughtfulness in making this available.
Rachel
Hey -
Great beginner tutorial. I’m trying to create maps of autonomous systems for networking research. I’ve opted to use freemind since it seemed like one of the more common free mapping tools. I have a few quick questions. One, can freemind create a map from a text file, or any file for that matter? Two, can you set freemind to put shapes around nodes other than the center node? Three, can you change the color/surrounding shape of multiple nodes at one time?
Thanks!
Christin
